Honest page, no tool: eSIM QR codes cannot be generated by any QR site, including this one. They encode a carrier activation payload (SM-DP+ address plus a one-time activation token) that only the operator can mint. What we can do is explain the system and fix the common failures people search for.
An LPA string: LPA:1$smdp.carrier.com$ACTIVATION-CODE. The phone's eSIM chip contacts that server, presents the token, and downloads your SIM profile. The code is single-use by design — which explains most problems below.
Settings → Mobile Service → Add eSIM → Use QR Code → point at the code your carrier gave you (email, PDF, or in-store printout). iPhone XS and later support eSIM.
Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs → Add eSIM / Download a SIM instead → scan. Naming varies by brand (Samsung: Connections → SIM manager).
"Code already used": eSIM codes are one-shot — a failed half-activation consumes them. Carrier must reissue; no workaround exists. "Unable to activate": usually locked handset or wrong network settings — carrier support. Code on the same phone's screen: you cannot scan your own screen — view it on another device or request manual entry (carriers provide the SM-DP+ address and code as text for exactly this). T-Mobile/Metro codes (heavily searched): both reissue through app, store or support chat; third-party sites cannot help, whatever they claim.
Travel eSIM resellers and phone shops print link codes to their activation portals or instruction pages — that is a normal URL code and we make those free. The activation code itself: carrier only, always.
No — it carries a one-time carrier token. Only the operator (or their official reseller) can issue it. Any site claiming otherwise is wrong or worse.
Codes are single-use; even a failed attempt consumes them. Contact the carrier for a reissue — it is routine.
You cannot scan your own screen. Open it on another device, print it, or ask the carrier for the manual-entry details (SM-DP+ address + code).
Usually not — most carriers invalidate the old code on transfer and issue a new one for the new device.
